Estonian Skier of the Year, Siim Sellis, is paddling SeaBird Designs Discovery for training

Estonian skier, Siim Sellis, reached the semifinal on the FIS World Cup in Lahti, Finland this year where he ended as number 10. Estonian Ski Association elected him as the Male Skier of the Year.

Although the official ski season is over for now and most of us are enjoying our summer holidays, Siim as well as other professional skiers waste no time and are already training for the next season. In addition to training with roller skis and doing other types of exercises to keep fit and follow the professional training regime, Siim has been going paddling with his SeaBird Designs Discovery kayak. Siim explains: "Discovery suits me well as it is a great universal vessel. It is suitable for use at sea but also on smaller narrow rivers as it is easily maneuverable and does not fear hitting rocks or tree branches that could get in my way from time to time". Siim says he uses paddling for lighter training as it provides a bit of variety to his usual training regime.

SeaBird Designs wishes Siim good luck and may all your goals be reached!
